The Milky Derby is a collection of Vermont veterinarian Bill Philipsen’s personal writings, remembrances and memorabilia all tied together with an insightful oral history, compiled and annotated by his daughter-in-law, Mary Philipsen. This is the tale of how, in 1929, a herd of Vermont Ayrshires (and their owners) went on hoof (and foot) from a small-town parade in Brandon, Vermont, to the National Exposition in St. Louis, Missouri. It’s an amazing journey and an enchanting read. Join us and hear more about this piece of Brandon’s history, and leave with a signed copy of the book.

Celebrate the cool weather’s return, the show of colors in the coming season, and the crisp fall days and nights with the fantastic foursome consisting of Gregg Humphrey, Mike Connor, Mike Boise and Earle Provin, as they perform some fantastic finger-flyin' bluegrass tunes. The music is wonderful, and the jokes between songs aren't too bad, either. This show is always a crowd-pleaser, so get here early!
